Who We Are

At Active Paws Physio we believe that every animal deserves to feel comfortable and full of life. The business is led by Natasha Barnes, a qualified and experienced veterinary physiotherapist and registered veterinary nurse who is approved by the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP) and holds an advanced diploma in small‑animal physiotherapy.

Natasha combines clinical expertise with compassion, creating a nurturing environment for dogs and other small pets. Whether your companion is an arthritic senior, a canine athlete recovering from surgery or a puppy in need of fitness coaching, you will always receive a friendly and professional service.

Our practice is based in Hemel Hempstead and we serve clients across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire. Home visits are available for pets that cannot travel comfortably.

We work closely with your vet to ensure all treatments are safe and effective.

Reviews

“Natasha has really worked wonders with my very stubborn dog since she had TPLO surgery and was suffering from arthritis."

Frd Reiss, Facebook

"After TPLO surgery our Labrador struggled with stairs and short walks. Natasha built a plan we could actually do at home and used laser + PEMF to keep her comfortable. Six weeks later she’s back to 30-minute walks and even gentle hill work. Couldn’t be happier."

Owner of “Mabel”, St Albans

"Our senior spaniel had arthritis and dreaded getting up after naps. The Senior Mobility pathway made an immediate difference—simple floor tweaks, calm manual therapy, and easy daily exercises. He’s brighter, sleeps better, and manages the garden steps again.”

Jean, Owner of “Bobby”, Berkhamsted
